She loves high fashion, modelling and couture! She has been involved with modelling since she was sixteen years old, and has now ventured into training up and coming models on the runway and fashion poses. Melita is very passionate about teaching aspiring models about the challenges of the fashion industry, dealing with body image, maintaining a clear head and staying healthy. She has done amazing notable runway shows for some of the fashion world’s celebrated fashion designers, such as: DVF, Richie Rich, Reem Acra, Parasuco, Obakki,  Tommy Bahama, Sunset Swim Wear, and Sea Folly just to name a few. Some of the most notable and incredible local fashion designers she has modelled for are: Jason Matlo, Jacqueline Conoir, Evan and Dean and Jolie Chan Couture. She is very active on social media – maintaining a blog called RuCaFaLi, which talks anything to everything and contains a great deal of advice for new and aspiring fashion models.

   Melita is not limited to only modelling and runway coaching; she also does fit modelling for one of the most sought after high-end fashion designers, Catherine Regehr. She is extremely excited about modelling for Catherine and is always looking forward to going back to her studio. Catherine Regehr is the designer that every model, pattern maker, and fashion graduate dreams of working for. Since modelling for Catherine Regehr, Melita has come to appreciate the creative process of designing a high quality basic black dress, a couture gown, a Kaftan, the detailing of the pieces, the craftsmanship and the amount of labour that goes into it. She finds it absolutely incredible and admirable.

   “I am beyond words, and I say respect to fashion designers and NO to counterfeit goods as these designers work very, very hard.” Apart from being a model, fit model, and a runway trainer, Melita loves to take fashion photographs, play with Photoshop – to her it’s important to know all that goes into designing, photo shoots and learning about fashion. She sometimes styles photo shoots and directs models on fashion shoots.  She loves to live, love and laugh! She loves and admires Oprah Winfrey, whom reminds her of her Mother 
