Ayo Shittu: At what age did you decide that you wanted to model? Has that always been your dream?
Christina Salazar: I had always wanted to be a model. As a little girl I walked around balancing books on my head! I think I always wanted to look and feel beautiful like the models of the 80's! I knew when I was about 5 that I wanted to model.
Ayo Shittu: Do you have a regular excersize routine for yourself? What foods do you try to stay away from?
Christina Salazar: I have been lucky to have been blessed with good genes but, I have always made effort to try and maintain a lean body. I stay away from junk food and keep fit. Sometimes I do boxing routines.
Ayo Shittu: What is the most difficult part about modeling as a woman? What are some challenges?
Christina Salazar: As a woman being a model is difficult. There is so much competition for women. Our bodies are always changing. I think age play's a big factor as well. It's not easy walking in heels that can possibly break your ankle!
Ayo Shittu: What is the most appropiate age for a girl to start modeling?
Christina Salazar: I honestly think that 16 is a good age. I wish I had started younger.
Ayo Shittu: Do you feel that male models have it easier in this industry than females? Why or why not?
Christina Salazar: Yes, I think male models have it easier. They don't have to walk in heels!!
Ayo Shittu: Thank you for your model input Christina, it’s a pleasure to feature you this month.
