Bryanston brand Rubicon is SA Fashion Week’s undisputed showstopper

Bryanston designer and founder of Rubicon, Hangwani Nengovhela, recently showcases her highly anticipated collection at South African Fashion Week.

 This year’s theme for the collection was the flow of water.

The fashion house of Rubicon stunned audiences when it debuted its latest autumn-winter 2023 collection at South African Fashion Week.

Led by Bryanston designer and founder Hangwani Nengovhela, the collection hit the catwalk at fashion week at the Mall of Africa.

Rubicon founder and lead designer Hangwani Nengovhela are proud to showcase this season’s collection.

According Nengovhela, just as with the previous showcase, this year’s collection was heavily inspired by her father the late Dickson Ralushai, paying homage to his endless signature of strength and perseverance.

“This year’s AW’23 collection is inspired by the power and strength that we possess. And just like still waters we never compromise our form but rather adapt to any trials and tribulations that come our way.”

The house of Rubicon showcases its newest collection at South African Fashion Week.

As a descendant of Venda heritage, Hangwani and her Rubicon brand have continued to draw inspiration from her homeland.

Aligning with the classic elegance that is the image of Rubicon, the new collection mimics the different flows of water, specifically taking reference to the majestic Phiphidi Waterfall in the northern part of Limpopo.

Hangwani Nengovhela debuted this year’s collection at South African Fashion Week.

“The new collection will interpret the way in which water flows smoothly whilst never losing its formation, but rather adapting to the different streams that may come our way,” said Hangwani.

In alignment with the theme of the collection, the collection was showcased alongside music by Limpopo legendary musical genius Lwei Netshivhale.

The Autumn-Winter 2023 collection is heavily inspired by the late Dickson Ralushai, father to the founder.
