FREE STATE FASHION WEEK RETURNS

The Free State Fashion Week was founded by entrepreneur and businesswoman Candy Smith in 2016. The event is aimed at showcasing the best designers in South Africa and also aims to promote culture, diversity and creativity.

FSFW is set to return with the theme, “Be Human”, which is inspired by surviving a global pandemic and life after the pandemic. The designers that will be showcasing their events at the FSFW are challenged to combine the theme with African culture.

“This year, I want to encourage our fashion entrepreneurs to pause for a minute, take a deep breath and ‘Be Human,’” said Candy Smith.

“That’s exactly what the theme of 2022 wants to achieve. Everyone in the world has gone through so much, both in their personal and business lives, that we need to take a minute just to breathe and restart with new energy.”
